About Sloan Exotics

Started by the trio of Kelly (mom, HBIC, queen of all things frog), Kenzie (daughter, creative genius, lover of all things plant and animal), and Steve (just the other guy) back in 2008, Sloan Exotics has taken many twists and turns before landing where we are today.
Having been in and out of the hobby since the early 90s and dabbling in lots of different things, in 2008 Steve and Kelly (and a kindergartner named Scooter, sorry, Kenzie) went to a local show. Neither had been really following the hobby and the ball python market had exploded! The color and pattern possibilities seemed endless, and the first pair of double het pied/clown was purchased. That pair quickly grew to a room full of breeding females that topped 100 individuals (and what felt like thousands of babies). The market was saturated, and the trio realized it was a full time job and the passion was not there. Quickly downsizing and parting with all the ball pythons (really wish we would have kept all the triple het pied/clown/desert ghost!) and refocusing on what we all loved (also, if you ever got a ball python from us it was probably het for 1 of those three if not more regardless of what else was in it). That passion project turned into frogs (and small lizards lol). Currently we are working with 27 different species of frog (always looking to add more and expand what we have). Kenzie has taken on the role of Ops Director focusing on day-to-day management of the frog room as well as partnering with Kelly in creating and selecting the products and animals that we use and breed ourselves and offer for sale.
We are truly a family run shop and every animal is cared for in our home like it is one of our own pets. We keep too many of them and sell enough to cover the cost of making them all happy.
